The opening of the forum witnessed wide participation of guests from abroad, and high-level representation from government institutions, representatives of friendly countries, foundations and donor countries, international community organizations and civil organizations, as well as private sector institutions.

The 'Ropes of Rain' opera, which was produced specifically for the forum, with the performance and voices of distinguished Palestinian artists, played a major role in employing Palestinian art and culture in sending water messages to the world.

Attendance audiences interacted extensively with this artwork with its melodies, suggestive dance, and lyrics that succeeded in showing the difficult reality of water in Palestine.

The opening ceremony ended with a Palestinian dinner that took the character of traditional heritage, hospitality, and originality in the traditional foods that the Palestinian people were known for.
