Day 3: (Field visits in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate and a closing session)
The scientific sessions and research papers discussed during the previous two days were completed and concluded.
The head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim, presided the closing ceremony of the first Palestine International Water Forum, concluding 14 research sessions, including 98 scientific papers. In each of the forum’s session, water professionals and experts presented and discussed seven scientific papers, illustrating research conclusions, enriched with experiences and case studies of new progressive tools, technologies, and best practices developed to support Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) applied as a tool to ultimately achieve water security.
The forum successfully attracted experts and delegations from 20 countries around the globe, including seven Arab countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Oman, Kuwait, and Jordan) and 13 foreign countries (Germany, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Britain, United States, Poland, Pakistan).
Field visits were also organized inside Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate for the participants to (Mahmoud Darwish Museum, the tomb of President Yasser Arafat, the Palestinian Foundation for Cultural Exchange).
